Ocean Beach on a Sunday.

The beach offers tactile sensations that no other place does. That feeling of a wave crashing over you, enveloping your body in a refreshing chill. The sun warming your skin through to the core of your being. The soft sand between your toes. Walking away from the day feeling happily dirty, covered in a coat of sand and sweat, and yet simultaneously feeling cleansed.

San Diego hasn't yet acknowledged the fact that it is actually autumn.
On this day at the beach, I loved how the low tide provided a mirror, reflecting the clouds, people holding hands, the seaweed, and my handsome husband. That's why the beach is a special place to keep going back to. It is constant and reliable, but always uniquely beautiful.
