After Mammoth, we stayed with some good friends in Marin and then stayed in the city at an AirBnB. San Francisco was freezing, and we didn't come well prepared with our winter wardrobes. Every day was foggy, windy, and misty, and I seriously wore leggings, jeans, a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweater, and fleece, and I was still cold. I was also not feeling all the way better after being sick, and probably pushed myself too much, because I relapsed and was sick again after we got home.
Despite the unpleasant weather and not feeling back to normal, we had a great time. The area north of San Francisco is beautiful, we enjoyed hanging out with our friends, hiking, and exploring the city. Also, the San Francisco food scene is amazing, and we ate so much delicious food. I would love to live there for the food, but I don't think I could live somewhere where it is freezing cold winter in July. It pretty much never gets that cold on our coldest day of the year in San Diego.
Highlights included:
- Bay Area Discovery Museum
- Exploring Public Art
- Dolores Park
- Hiking in Muir Woods
- Biking across the Golden Gate Bridge
- Eating all the food
- Everett's cheesy grin
