I am writing you this letter as you turn three months old. It seems like time goes by so quickly, but also like you've been with us forever.
Each day, you become more fun. We've been reading you books since we brought you home from the hospital, but just recently, you have started to engage in the process a bit. You have begun to follow along and actually look at the pages and even smile, which has been really fun. We really hope that you will love learning and books (and are not too rebellious against your two teacher parents).
My favorite things are still your smiles and when you fall asleep in my arms. Two of the sweetest things in the world have got to be a baby's smile and a sleeping baby. Also, this month you began to follow along when we read you books and actually look at the pages and even smile, which has been really fun.

I know that writing these letters is really more for me than for you, and who knows, maybe you will never even read them, but if you do, I want you to know how much joy you have brought to my life. I love being your mama.
This month your daddy went back to work after we had two full months off together as a little family of three this summer. Mostly, it's just you and me hanging out every day. We spend our days singing, playing, smiling, reading, napping, running, walking. These are all seemingly mundane acts that become beautiful with you. I am savoring each moment. Our family adventures this month have consisted of exploring our beautiful city- picnics at the park, an outdoor concert, the beach, dog beach, going to a museum.
I don't think anything could have prepared me for the all-consuming love that has come with being a mother, and hopefully, one day you will understand when you have your own children. I continue to be surprised at how deep my love is for you. Being your mama really is an amazing thing.
Love,
Mama
