Motherhood.

I am a mother. Sometimes I still can't believe it. It's crazy how something that is the best thing ever is also the hardest thing ever, something that can bring you the most joy is also the most exhausting. The paradox of parenthood. Now we are on the journey of adding another little one, and I'm sure the chaos and the love and sleep deprivation will be abundant.

At the end of the day, when I am tired and ready for bed, I can't help but feel so grateful. Being a mother is beautiful, and I feel like these photos below capture the magic of motherhood for me at this moment.

A trip to Yosemite and an exciting announcement for our family.

Here is a little video I made of our recent trip to Yosemite:
Song: "Stay Alive" by Jose Gonzalez

Some of the lyrics I love:
"You're here forever and you're by my side
I've been waiting all my life
To feel your heart as it's keeping time...

Dawn is coming open your eyes...

Look into the sun as the new days rise
There's a rhythm in rush these days
Where the lights don't move and the colors don't fade
Leaves you empty with nothing but dreams
In a world gone shallow
In a world gone lean

But there is a truth and it's on our side
Dawn is coming open your eyes
Look into the sun as the new days rise."
